Native actions, effects, and cleanup
Native operations affect Minecraft players, entities, blocks, and presentation. Their reference entries list typed inputs and available tags; this guide explains shared rules and important special cases.
Units and validation
Section titled “Units and validation”Whole-number inputs floor before bounds checks. Launch speeds use blocks/tick and resulting velocity is bounded to 100 blocks/tick. Launch defaults to adding current velocity; forward launch includes pitch unless configured otherwise. Display matrices need exactly 16 finite row-major Numbers within ±1,000,000 and final row 0, 0, 0, 1.
Set Experience offers LEVEL, POINTS, and PERCENT (0–100). Older Experience Progress action inputs retain their separate 0–1 fraction convention. Do not assume every field labelled experience has the same units.
Player presentation
Section titled “Player presentation”Private equipment/sign/block states, sounds, particles, borders, scoreboards, and visibility are scoped to the playing participant. Temporary presentation is restored on departure, stop, and recompilation. Forced flight enables Allow Flight before Flying. Spectate Target needs Spectator mode; omission clears it. Elytra boosting needs an actively gliding participant and a Firework Rocket.
Border resizing requires a border owned by the running program. It takes radius with optional change speed in blocks/second; omission applies immediately. Transitions cannot exceed one day. Scoreboard formats offer FIXED, STYLED, BLANK, and RESET.
Spawning and ownership
Section titled “Spawning and ownership”Runtime entities and derivative drops belong to the running plot and obey its limits/cleanup. Item frames, paintings, and cushions retain their permanent-decoration behavior. When no players remain in Play, transient entities are cleaned up.
Spawn Eye of Ender defaults to 80 ticks and random drop/shatter; omitted destination keeps it aimed at its spawn location. Potion clouds default to radius 3 and duration 200 ticks. Fireworks default to upward travel, with Instant off.
Supported effects
Section titled “Supported effects”Particle inputs currently author Void-data particle effects, with one particle per supplied effect and up to 256 ordered effects in the supported plural group. Particle shapes/animations and data-bearing particle authoring are not available through this editor.
Display Block Opened State supports private Barrel presentation. It does not supply private Chest/Shulker open animations. Native operations do not substitute global world changes for unavailable private effects.
Entities and transfers
Section titled “Entities and transfers”Tame uses a UUID or cached name, with no network lookup; omission untames. Attach Lead uses a compatible holder or fence within 10 blocks; omission detaches. Dye Color requires an exact vanilla dye color. Tropical-fish appearance accepts KEEP for individual components.
Kick returns an eligible participant to the lobby. Send to Plot presents a Join/Decline request rather than disconnecting or moving someone without consent. Changing sessions, stopping the source, or deleting the destination invalidates stale requests.
