Create Dictionary

Creates a dictionary of the destination’s exact key/value types. Optional key/value lists must have equal lengths and compatible elements.

Set Variable → Operations → Choose Operation → Dictionary. Requires Dev access to configure, then a successful compile to activate.

Input Type Role Requirement Default / constraint
Dictionary Dictionary<K,V> Variable binding Required Required
Keys List Value Optional Omitted; see behavior below
Values List Value Optional Omitted; see behavior below

Stores the result in the first configured destination Variable. Its type must match the result and any generic element/key types.

Block: Set Variable → Operations
Operation: Create Dictionary
Dictionary: Private Dictionary<K,V> result
Keys: (omit for this example)
Values: (omit for this example)

Use this as an editor configuration: declare any Variables/collections first and choose real locations/eligible targets for your plot. It is not pasteable source code.

Initialize the collection first. Element/key/value declarations are invariant. Reference inputs share mutable contents; choose a copy mode when isolation is required. List indices begin at 1; unsuccessful index searches return 0.

Runtime validation: Dictionary key and value lists must have equal sizes.

Reference identifier: dictionary.create.
