Null
An explicitly assigned absence, distinct from unassigned.
Declaration
Section titled “Declaration”Choose the type in a Variable/parameter/field type picker. Use the nullable flag only when absence is part of the intended model.
Example
Section titled “Example”Null itemRequires a nullable destination. Explicit Null does not select an optional default and consumes a Final binding’s first assignment.
Compatibility
Section titled “Compatibility”Required inputs must be assigned and type-compatible. Nullable values require compatible nullable inputs or coalescing. Collection declarations remain invariant; native Targets and custom classes follow their supported inheritance rules. Final controls a binding, not deep immutability.
